I started playing golf at the age of 11 in my hometown of Burlington, Ontario Canada. My father introduced me to the game, however, without the support of my childhood club Hidden Lake Golf Club I wouldn’t have been able to achieve what I have. As a 12 year old I began working in the back shop of Hidden Lake, picking up range balls twice a week to earn a free junior membership. I spent the majority of my waking moments when not at school at the course, falling in love with the game and practicing for hours.
By the time I was 13 I was competing in small golf tournaments across southern Ontario. A moment that sticks out to me when I realized I was pretty good was when I shot 68 in a one day tournament at age 13 winning by 9 shots. From then on I continued my assent to being the top rated Juvenile (16 & Under) player in Ontario and by the time I was 18 was selected to be on the Canadian National Golf Team which consisted of the top four players in all of Canada.
I earned a golf scholarship to the Prestigious University of Houston, a Division I power house program that has won 16 National Championships (the most of all time post WWII). While competing for the Cougars I won twice including the 2015 NCAA Regional’s and was selected as a Division I All-American.
I was selected to the Golf Canada Men’s National Amateur team in 2015 and remained on the Team until I turned professional in September of 2016. During my time on the National team, I received exemptions on two separate occasions to the PGA Tour’s RBC Canadian Open. In my first start in 2015, I made the cut and tied for Low Amateur alongside Austin Connelly winning the Gary Cowan Award.
Since turning professional, I have held status on either PGA Tour Canada or PGA Tour Latin America for every season and currently hold status on PGA Tour Latin America. Some of my Career highlights to date as a Pro include winning the Sedona Open in 2018, Finishing Runner- Up in the PGA Tour Latin America event in Quito Ecuador and Monday qualifying for the PGA Tour’s Waste Management Phoenix Open in 2019.
